SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

For clients interested in finding the optimal way to fulfil their obligations stemming from the EU’s Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive and to maximize the effects of carrying out obligatory reporting, or for a client who simply wants to embark on a trajectory of Systematic Sustainable Development (SSD) in accordance with the UN-adopted and generally accepted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),

FOSOTRA GROUP will typically (but not limited to) support the client so that they are able to:

Specify which of the goals are most important to the client – to understand each goal and its associated targets.

Run a double materiality assessment, i.e. to consider:

• which topics the client has a material (i.e., noteworthy) impact on,

• which topics have or can have a material, financial impact on the client.

Map out which of the client’s internal functions are involved in which parts of a double materiality assessment.

Map out which stakeholders are involved and define how a client’s internal and external stakeholders are involved.

Set up initial dialogues.

Create a list of sustainability issues relevant to the client’s business.

Assess the impact of the client’s business on each sustainability issue.

Assess risks and opportunities.

Create an overview of the sustainability issues that are material.

Develop policies that would guide work on material topics.

Define targets with milestones and deadlines for each material topic.

Define actions needed to reach the defined targets and assign actions to owners.

Do a data gap analysis.

Address data gaps or data quality issues.

Discuss progress towards targets and follow up on delegated actions.

Combine work from the previous steps into a report.
